15/9/2014 Cheesy Spiral Pasta

Happy monday and many peoples are not working today as school holiday is started. And my holidays will begin tomorrow..^.^

Breakfast: Sweet Potato Millet Sticks

Lunch and Dinner : Cheesy Spiral Pasta
Teatime : Peach Yogurt Chiffon cupcake

Sweet potato Millet Stick
Same making of the rice type.
Sweet potato rice stick
Sweet potato : rice (Millet)
1:1 ratio
And some water
Blend them together till smooth.
Pour into a plastic bag. Cut a small hole and squeeze on parchment paper. Bake at 180°C for 10-15 mins or slightly golden brown.

Cheesy Spiral Pasta
Ingredients: broccoli, carrot, lean meat, garlic, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, milk.

Steps:
1) sauteed garlic with olive oil.
2) add in meat and stir fry till lightly brown.
3) add in broccoli, some water, then simmer for 3-5 mins.
4) add in milk, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and some nutmeg powder.
5) boil till cheese melted, off fire and done.

Peach Yogurt Chiffon Cake
Recipe Source : Phong Hong as inspired by Cooking Pleasure
Mixture A :
1. 5 egg yolks
2. 270 ml peach flavoured yogurt (I used fresh peach + farm fresh natural yogurt)
3. 85ml vegetable oil (i used grapeseed oil)
4. 50g sugar (i used molasses)
5. 150g flour (I used superfine flour)
Mixture B :
1. 5 egg whites
2. 1/2 tsp cream of tartar ( i used few drops lemon juice)
3. 50g sugar ( i used 30g molasses only)
Method :
1. Preheat oven to 160C
For Mixture A :
1. Whisk egg yolks with sugar to mix well.
2. Add yogurt and vegetable oil. Mix well.
3. Sift flour into the mixture and mix until a smooth batter forms.
For Mixture B :
1. Add cream of tartar into the egg whites and beat until foamy.
2. Add sugar gradually and beat until stiff peaks.
Pour Mixture A into Mixture B and fold the two batters to ensure that they are evenly mixed. Pour into chiffon pan and bake for 45 minutes. When done, remove from oven and invert pan. Cool completely before removing from pan.
